14:30 -~15:04: Mr. Irakoze welcomes participants in Buja Hub and the Diaspora.

15:06 -15:16.   Dr. Beatrice Russell : Welcome to Burundi Education Mission            

                          Conference.

 

Dr. Beatrice Russell : Founder and Chair of Burundi Education Mission Board of Directors.   Dr. Beatrice Russell is an Associate Professor and French Area Head Program in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at California State University at Sacramento (USA).

 

Dr. Russell: Introducing Burundi Education Mission Board of Directors, Conference Directors and Organizing Team in alphabetical order. (1-1:30  minutes each person)

 

 

Board Directors:

  • Mr. Felix Balitumye.Founding (First) Board ofDirector.  Mr. Balitumye is the Uganda IT Director and consultant to Burundi Education Mission. He will join forces with Mr. Bienvenu Irakoze, Burundi IT Director to build technology infrastructure for learning in targeted secondary schoolsMr. Balitumye lead and completed at least a six -week Professional Training in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and his Professional ICT Training Team included Ms. Grace Kwagala from Uganda. More on this later.

 

  • Dr. Raymond Bimazubute: Founding (First) Board ofDirector of BEM.

      Dr.  Bimazubute is Professor of Computer Sciences at Baden-Wuerttemberg       

      Cooperative State University Stuttgard.  Germany. BEM Symposium Director.

 

  • Mr. Bienvenu Irakoze. Founding (First) Board ofDirector. Mr. Irakoze is the appointed Executive Secretariat of Information and Communication Technologies). His main mission is to coordinate all Projects and Programs aimed at the implementation of the Burundi National (Information Communication Technologies (ICT) strategy.

 

  • Ms. Janet Kerr. Founding (First) Board ofDirector. Ms. Kerr is an Associate Tax Auditor /Franchise Tax Board of California State. Ms Kerr and I attend Sierra Vista Community Church and we are both Mission Committee members.

  • Dr. Leah NdimurwimoAssociate Professor of Law.  Nelson Mandela University's South Campus Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth.  South Africa. Dr. Ndimurwimo is a BEM Board of  Director, and Conference Director .

 

  • Reverend Gervais Nahimana is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Bujumbura and his research is focused on our Batwa community and this work is worthy of our notice.

  • Isaac Nizigama, Ph.D. Part-time professor in the Department of Ancient Studies and Religious Sciences, in the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts. Dr. Nizigama is also a faculty in The Department of Anthropological and sociological Studies , in Faculty of Social Sciences  at the University of Ottawa

 

  • We would like to thank Mr. Georges Niyonzima, as a member of our Conference Organizing Team. M. Niyonzima: Professor of French at the Lycée de Nyakabiga and a Lecturer at  the University of Burundi,  Bujumbura.
